This web site is run by Vladimir Toncar (that’s me).
The site contains a collection of both new and older texts about various (mostly) technical topics. Some of the old pieces have a surprisingly long shell life, and the fact that people still find them useful encourages me to get back to writing now and then.
A brief BIO:
- I work as a SW quality (system safety) manager for Skoda Electric. I fairly often wear another hat — that of a data scientist.
- I’ve seen a number of software-related areas, from data science and logic programming to information systems, to network security, to Voice over IP.
- I have a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of West Bohemia (UWB). Once or twice a year I serve as an external member of the final examination board at UWB's Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
- I speak Czech and English (and can write in Python, R, SQL, and a few others :-)). You may contact me at vladimir at toncar dot cz.
